Thanks for checking out Podcast 119!! In recent news, there is a Kickstarter project from the former Triggertrap CFO to create a high speed flash from LED lights that is capable of a flash duration of 1/2,000,000 sec at the cost of a regular flash gun! (http://tinyurl.com/kz9szmj) Another Kickstarter project, CamsFormer, seeks to create a smart phone app to control a camera or flash unit.  Michael Reichmann (http://www.luminous-landscape.com) is looking to give out grants to photographers to enable them to finish books, projects, or other merit-based projects.  Tune into the podcast for more photography news!

Fred and Jim sit down with photography Marilyn Parver who shares her photography and experience living with the Masai in Africa. Marilyn started out in photography on a workshop by Art Wolfe with a simple Minolta camera set on program mode, but with an eye of an artist, she quickly progressed and has since won numerous national and international photography awards.  We are delighted to have met her and we truly enjoy when we can actually sit down in person with a photographer of her caliber.  We believe you will truly enjoy this interview as much as we did!  Marilyn also does a wonderful workshop in Africa and we recommend checking out her website at www.imagesbymarilynparver.com.  Marilyn gives back to the Masai from the proceeds of her tax-deductible workshops!

Coming up on our first podcast of 2015, Tim Grey will be co-hosting with us, so please send in your photo-related questions to jim@thefotobug.com and we will have Tim answer your questions during the podcast.

Have a Happy Holiday and don't forget to tune into our holiday podcast 120!  See you then!
