Welcome to Episode 100! In the news, Jim and Fred discuss Hasselblad which began shipping the new 50mp CMOS sensor medium format camera. Getty images has decided to allow bloggers to embed low resolution copies of their images for no charge, Adobe has released an Android version of it's photo sharing program, Revel. A federal judge has dismissed the FAA fine against a UAV (drone) user. Does the FAA have jurisdiction over drones? Red Giant has now created a subscription model for their software similar to Creative Cloud from Adobe. Finally, the Chinese government has ordered Nikon to stop selling the D600 in China, tune in and found out why!

Charlie MacPherson joins Jim and Fred once again and discusses his experience with the new Tamron 150-600mm telephoto zoom lens. Tamron loaned Charlie a lens which he used with his Canon 1DX and he took it out into the field in Massachusetts to photograph some of the local birds. He compares the results with his Canon 600mm prime lens. Tune in to hear what Charlie has to say and see some of the images he made with this new lens.
In the news, Nikon has offered to replace the shutters on its D600 cameras that are experiencing the 'dust' issues, and they have announced an upgrade to the D4 to a D4s. A Florida based photographer has pleaded guilty to a charge of violating the endangered species act, and several more companies are releases cameras (even phones!) with 4K video capability.
Jim, Charlie and Fred also discuss the upcoming Tampa Bay Shootout which takes place in St. Petersburg, Florida on April 4, 5 and 6. Jim Clark is the keynote speaker on Friday evening at the PTec campus in south St. Petersburg and the speech is free and open to the public.
