Fred and Jim welcome back Maurice Ribble to show off his Air Flash. The Air Flash is an extremely fast strobe unit that can freeze bullets in mid-flight. Maurice has built a number of units in hopes of selling them, but is currently looking for a liability insurance company to underwrite insurance on the unit due to the high voltage. Maurice talks about the new unit and shows off some images he recently made with the flash.
Maurice is also the engineer behind The Camera Axe
which can be used to trigger based upon events and triggers. Maurice's website is www.cameraaxe.com.
In the news, the hack on Adobe's Creative Cloud effects 38 million users, Canon releases a firmware update for the Canon 5D MK III, the ION is a new sports camera, and OnOne Software is running a public beta program for their Photo Suite.

Our guest in podcast number 70 is Maurice Ribble who designed and built the original Camera Axe which is a camera controller for high speed photography. In addition to the Camera Axe, Maurice and his followers have created a number of electronic addon devices that can do everything from capturing the spash of colliding water drops to freezing the bullet fired from a gun. Maurice also has a video blog as well as tutorials and a forum at www.dreamingrobots.com - be sure to check it out!
In the news, Apple pulls the 500px app from iTunes over nudity concerns, Jessops, in England, has entered Administration due to declining sales, and Cameramater has shown off a tethering system for Nikon and Canon DSLRs at CES in Las Vegas.
