Our guest in podcast number 70 is Maurice Ribble who designed and built the original Camera Axe which is a camera controller for high speed photography. In addition to the Camera Axe, Maurice and his followers have created a number of electronic addon devices that can do everything from capturing the spash of colliding water drops to freezing the bullet fired from a gun. Maurice also has a video blog as well as tutorials and a forum at www.dreamingrobots.com - be sure to check it out! In the news, Apple pulls the 500px app from iTunes over nudity concerns, Jessops, in England, has entered Administration due to declining sales, and Cameramater has shown off a tethering system for Nikon and Canon DSLRs at CES in Las Vegas. Check http://www.adamjonesphoto.com/frog_reptile.php for a Reptile and Frog workshop which is taking place February 22-23 in Naples Florida. We hope to have Mike Mathews on the next podcast. Please be sure to support our sponsors, Hunts Photo (www.huntsphotovideo.com), Outdoor Photo Gear (www.outdoorphotogear.com) and Outdoor Photo Workshops (www.outdoorphotoworkshops.com) and please let them know you heard about them on the Fotobug Podcast! Coming up in the next podcast, more on water drop and smoke photography - photography you can do indoors when the weather is just too bad to go outside!
